Amazon.com Inc. sometimes doesn't show up on lists of top leaders in artificial intelligence alongside Google Inc., Microsoft Corp., Facebook Inc. and IBM Corp. That's about to change. Amazon Chief Executive Jeff Bezos recently revealed in his annual letter to shareholders that he views machine learning, the branch of AI teaches computers to learn without being explicitly programmed, as key to the future of his company.
